Cycling
B&B@23 is in the heart of cycling country. The local valleys, hills and mountains are a Mecca for cyclists of all differing skill and fitness levels. The Tour de France passed the front door of B&B@23 in 2008 and through the next town of Axat in 2007. Indeed, hardly a year has passed in recent years when, the world's greatest sporting event the Tour de France, has not passed close by.
In addition to road cycling there are also many forestry roads, paths and tracks that are suitable or those cyclists preferring to go off road on their mountain bikes.
Because of this interest in the area by cyclists you will find the area a cycling friendly one both in terms of fellow road users and in the local facilities, be it cafe, supermarket or repairs.
Despite the popularity of the area as a tourist destination the roads are generally quiet and peaceful without much traffic, enabling cyclists to ride safely and comfortably around the Languedoc-Roussillon.
There are a myriad of smaller roads through the mountains and valleys enabling you to ride along valleys, through vineyards and gorges as well as climb some very challenging rides.
